 Estapona with Malaga’s international airport only 60 km away via the new motorway and Gibraltar being only 40 km offers the visitor more than 30 km. of carefully maintained sandy beaches and an unrivalled array of attractions which make it the perfect destination on the Costa del Sol.

Development is carefully planned to ensure the preservation of the towns identity which is steeped in history and culture.

Before the tourist boom, Estapona was a sleepy fishing village evidence of which can still be seen to this date, and it’s warm and friendly people preserve their traditions with pride.

The most striking feature in Estapona is the Parish Curch of Remedios, with it’s magnificent stone porch and tower, which can be seen from any point in the town.

Other interesting sights include the lighthouse which was built in the 19th century.

It’s sea front promenade is widely considered to be one of the best on the Costa del Sol stretching from the town centre to the pleasure port at the western exit of the town.

Well worth a visit is the recently opened Selwo safari park which is home to many varieties of African wildlife is a big new attraction to the area.

Estapona is also surrounded by numerous Golf courses, notably Estapona Golf and a short drive away El Paraiso Golf.
